FAQ's

Do I really need a permit for a shed?
Often yes, depending on size and placement. In Ontario, most municipalities require a permit for any structure over 161.5 sq. ft. (15 m²), or if it’s serviced with plumbing/electrical.

What if my shed is smaller than 10 m²?
You may not need a building permit, but zoning rules (setbacks, height, lot coverage) still apply. We recommend you check with your local zoning department before building.

Can you help with pool houses or backyard offices?
Yes. Any accessory structure — shed, studio, cabana, or office — can be designed and drawn for permit.

What if my shed was already built without a permit?
We can create as-built drawings to support a retroactive permit application.
